We have also sent computers to groups in Sri Lanka, Papua New Guinea, Ecuador, and Indonesia.
We helped facilitate the placement of more than 1650 computers within the South Pacific Region, in conjunction with the ANZ bank. As ANZ upgraded computers across the South Pacific, Computerbank liased with community groups and schools across such places as Samoa, Papua New Guinea, The Solomon Islands, and Fiji.
We have exposed more than 500 unemployed people to open source software, hardware, and recycling via our Award winning (search for Computerbank), and very popular, Commonwealth Government funded Work for the Dole Program. In addition to Work for the Dole volunteers another 175 people have helped out at Computerbank.
We have recycled more than 20.000 broken and non-usable items through the introduction of effective e-waste recycling techniques.
